Braindate
Reinventing the way people meet and learn
Braindate is a web-based platform that fosters knowledge-sharing conversations at events, communities, and organizations. It's trusted by world-class partners including Fortune 500 companies that want to bring more than just networking to their people.
As the Head of Content, I maintain and execute the creative voice for the brand, engaging audiences with impactful content, creative ideas, and innovation. Here's some of my favorite work.
01 Website copy that converts
In 2021, we decided to create a new website for Braindate. In a market saturated with event networking solutions, our challenge was to communicate our technology’s unique value and functionality, while still maintaining the aspirational messaging the brand is loved for.
As the lead copywriter on the project, I wrote the copy for the entire website, marrying human, jargon-free copy about a complex tech solution, with an impactful user journey.
Impact
In 2022, we applied for the Webby Awards once again. This time, we submitted the new website as our primary reference material. The strength of the website (copy, visuals, UX included) became clear when we received two nominations, recognizing Braindate among the top 10% of the 14000 entries submitted in 2022!
02 Product marketing:
value-first content to
make features shine
I set the creative direction across various product marketing initiatives, helping our product shine through powerful written and visual assets.
This includes developing user guides, writing articles, storyboarding videos, and more to promote new features.
Impact
These creative assets spotlight the Braindate platform’s evolution. They show users and clients how each feature has been lovingly developed to add new-found value to the user experience.

03 Braindate blog:
SEO strategy to boost organic web traffic
To increase organic traffic to the new website,
I developed an SEO-driven content strategy, using the topic cluster content model, to showcase the niche expertise Braindate brings to the world of events.

This included identifying a list of target keywords and working with an external team of SEO writers to produce and publish customer-centric resources on the blog.

Since the launch of the SEO strategy in February 2022, the Braindate website has seen a 266% increase in conversion resulting directly from organic traffic.
04 Sales enablement content that closes deals
Over the years, I have worked closely with the sales team to understand exactly what kind of content they need to make their jobs easier. What material do they need to support product demos, answer clients’ questions, and add credibility to our offers of service?
I've created pitch decks, written case studies, and published articles on client pain points. Here is a sampling of some of my favorites.

05 Speaking engagements: advocating for Braindate by being a thought leader
I’ve been invited to speak at a number of industry events. I’ve educated peers and colleagues in the events space on the latest best practices related to peer learning, networking, and content programming for events.

I used these speaking engagements to be an advocate for Braindate and its mission to empower people to learn from each other. Each speaking opportunity helped establish Braindate’s position as a thought leader in the industry, increased brand awareness, and resulted in qualified leads.
